Hi, friends,
I have two independent drives i.e,'F'ASUS CRW-4832AS and 'E'SONY DVDRW DW-D22A. on my xp home sp2 compaq pc.
The problem is xp is not recognising both the drives while i right click to send a file to copying, even after enabling the drive for recording in properties of the respective drive. It is also astonishing that enabling the drive for recording option is also missing in the properties since a while now.

I am also unable to write dvds through any of the software like nero, sony recordnow dx,Sonic recornow, or Pinnacle. but all the softwares are recognizing the drives.

Pl help me.

1. check the IDE cable is tight in the dives and at the motherboard

2. Uninstall both drives in device manager

3. Also uninstal the IDE channel the drives are on.

4. reboot the PC and let XP find and instal new harware.

5. retry your drives.
