For some reason my pc has started to display "rundll.32exe not responding" when I come to swich off. I cannot recall doing anything or loading anything recently but I have also noticed search assistant and quick lauch have appeared on my task bar. I uncheck these but they re appear next time I start up. I haven't been on any "dodgy" web sites so anyone know what to do. I have tried system restore but to know satisfaction. I am running XP pro with everything up to date.
Cheers Daveym

Tried doin what you suggested but to no avail. Even tried a system restore to a month ago. Still the same.

clear out all your unwanted files i.e. temporery internet files and retry.

check out black viper.com for all services that should run or you can disable.

disabling some excess progs may solve problem
