Sometimes when I shut down I get an error message the box is headed ASHSERVE.EXE with an error code of 0x7c910e03.

It states that if I want to end program hit button, but if I do nothing the computer still shuts down.

I don't always get the message on shutdown, and it hasn't seem to affected any of my programs

I am usuing XP professional

Any ideas?

I think you'll find it is ASHSERV.EXE

I would uninstall and reinstall Avast.
