XP Shutdown - Desktop Shortcut

  FCD 19:17 01 May 03

I have recently added the dewsktop shortcut for PC shutdown [shutdown.exe -s -t 00] for Win XP but I can only get a windows shutdown to the message "It is now safe to turn off your computer". [The old 98/ME shutdown shortcut worked completely and my normal XP shutdown takes me right through to power off without any problems.]

Grateful for any advice on where I have got the new shortcut wrong.

Many thanks.

You haven't done anything wrong, FCD, it happens to me also. Try "Switch Off" click here it works well, is free and is easy to set.
