XP Service Packs

Hi all

a friend of mine has acquired an XP pc from a hotel that went out of business. The PC appears to have never been updated with any of the 3 XP service packs.

My friend has no internet access and only wishes to use it for general use.

The PC suffers from contant freezing.

I'd like to at least get all the XP service packs onto it before running some cleaning and registry programmes.

My question is there anywhere I can get all 3 XP service packs, download them to a dvd, then install them? Can this be done as one download, or do I need to download all 3 packs individually?

Your help is always appreciated.

You only need one; click here

Frankly, if it's freezing the install might go wrong anyway.

Get a decent AV and the latest updates.
Avast free; click here
Avast virus definitions; click here

Run a boot scan; click here

Install and run a couple of antispyware products.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware ( click here ) and latest definitions ( click here ).
SuperAntispyware and definitions click here
Definitions;

Burn to CD, run the installer, then run the definition file before you start the actual program(s).

the ideal would be to conect the computer to your internet conection then you would be able to update everything not just microsoft, but if you just want the microsoft updates then go google for there download centre

Actually, I'm wrong about SP3 being all you need. SP1 minimum. So only two files needed.
