I am running xp home and I used pc pitstop to check my computer, it identified sp1 as a yellow flag (minor problem). should I delete it and download it again or can it be installed over the top of the existing pack.

my main problem is when switching on I always get the message that i have a corrupt file and an alternative copy was used sucessfully.
