XP and restarting in DOS Mode....

  kentylad 10:10 30 Mar 03

....unfortunatly, its not as simple as creating a start-up disk from a 9x OS. See, my main Windows hard-drive is fortmatted in NTFS format, with the other being FAT32.

So, when i restart in DOS from boot, it doesn't recognise anything on the windows HDD. Is there a way round this? i.e. allowing DOS to see my HDD?

Kind regards

the floppy will be formatted in fat32 .. and will not be able to see any files if the hard drive is formatted in ntfs.. there is no way around this i think unless you format your hard drive in fat32 instead of ntfs but thats getting a bit drastic..

Will this program have to run everytime windows is run i.e. in the start-up dir?

You can use click here this will work from a win9x boot disk or from a dos window and will allow you to copy the data to a FAT32 drive.
