XP Pro New Hardware Detect wizard

Anybody experienced problem with New Hardware Detected wizard appearing every time PC started for a device that is already installed and working?

For example I uninstalled my hard drive in Disk Drive-Device Manager and restarted my PC so that XP would re-detect it. The PC boots up OK and the HDD works just fine and the Drive again appears in Device Manager, but now New Hardware Detect wizard comes up everytime I start the PC statingthat it has found my Hard drive.

Is this a duplicate driver problem?

How do you stop Windows XP generating this wizard for no reason?

Any advice appreciated.

You will probably find that this goes away on its own.
