I hope someone can help

I have installed xp pro and and all is weel except the "help and support" button near the start button doesn't open anything, and the help menu in My computer etc is also useless.

I acn get help on-line, but why can't i access help from help files, where are they?

whAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?

Is your copy of windows XP an OEM ? did it get supplied with your computer?
If so, many OEM machines have the manufacturers own help and support on the machine preinstalled. This is then specific to that machine.
If so, or if not, the Service pack for XP resolves many issues for help in XP.

it is an oem and service pack 1 is built into it.

i did a standard installation, all the defaults were picked and loads of help files exist but the help menu buttons don't access them for some reason.

any more ideas anyone?
