XP Pro

I got the dreaded blue page citing win32. I restarted with a repair but lots of little things don't work ie. pages don't scroll evenly, with files reduced jump across the screen instead ov evenly. parts of IE don't work properly. Tried to reload IE6 over existing but told I already had a higher prog loaded.
Would it be better to reload XP over the top?? or delete and start again, which I would not like to do if possible.
Any ideas gratefully received

looks tricky to me, how about system restore?

not that complicated, but try putting your xp in cd rom and when installation attempts to start click on exit.then go to Start/run/and type without quotes "sfc scannow" AND remember to leave a space between sfc scannow .
if all else fails a clean install is the best bet.
