XP NETWORK SETUP WIZARD

I'm trying to re-enter my network connection settings for my dial-up ISP account which were lost when the PC went away for attention to a boot fail problem. All applications seem to run OK but when invoking Network Setup Wizard, the 'Connect using dial-up modem' & 'Connect to Broadband using password.....' remain in a greyed out state and therefore cannot be selected.
I've tried reloading XP twice to overcome the problem but have had no success in restoring the buttons to normal.
Any ideas?? or should I just take the PC back to the supplier again??

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\EAP
Delete the subkeys listed except 13 and 4.

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Set these three to "Automatic":
Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection
Manager,Telephony.

Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable
