XP and Mandrake problem

i had a laptop with Win XP on but i did not partition the HDD and i tried booting it with the CD but it did not work can anybody help also i tried bootdisk.com and it said invalid system disk what do i do

You have to create some free space about 3Gb for it to install, for that you need Partition Magic, or Acronis to adjust the XP Drive Partition, ie make it smaller Mandrake does not need a Partition as when you boot it will find the Free space you create and it will offer to load it on that. You can adjust XP partition without having to reload, if you do it as above

i have already put mandrake on but when i try and load it does not allow me i know its the Partitioning but i cant get to the partition thing so i need a boot disk but the CD does not seem to work so i can remove all DOS partitions i know how to do it but it won't let me

Get Partition Magic you will be able to remove add extend or delete Partitions EASY
