XP looks like W98

XP has lost its look. It looks more like W98.
I had to run the XP repair after XP screwed itself up last week. Everything else seems to be OK just the look on the folders etc is all clunky.

from what did you install the XP? and you do not say how the thing got messed up; what happened, what were you doing? and did you have system restore enabled?

also what av and other protection did /do you have on there?

May have reverted to 'classic look'? Start, Settings, Task bar and Start menu.

oldbeefer2 Your are right it is the classic look, but so far I can't find a way to alter it.

I have the same problem at work, this link is the reverse to what you want but it will give you an idea where to look click here

The look in your link are exactly what I have.
I'll keep digging to see if we can get a fix.

Ah right, that's where it should be, I don't run Windows at home so can't really help.

Going from memory there is another link in Control Centre, but I can't remember where, maybe someone else can for you.
