Can someone tell me how turn on a domain box on the windows xp logon screen?

Also, how do I get rid of the shortcut arrows on desktop icons?

Many Thanks

how do I get rid of the shortcut arrows on desktop icons?

TweakUI from MS has this option.

Sorry about the first query - I don't understand.

Thanks for your reply.

Where do I get TweakUI from?

As to my second question, I have seen that on some computers underneath the password box on the windows classic logon another box is displayed called domain, how do I get it to appear on my computer?

Sorry, no idea about the second question - I have XP but don't use it... maybe someone else will sort you out.

When you say domain box, do you mean the little box next to the account name?

If so, goto control panel/user accounts and you should be able to do it all from there.

On the windows classic logon screen it has two boxes: username and password. I know that another box can be made available: domain.

Does anyone know how to enable this?

Are you on a domain?

I think you will only get that if you are part of a domain.

Networked to Windows NT, 2000, 2003 Server
