xp logo fade-in

At boot-up, the XP logo fades in. It never did this when I first had the PC but perhaps a Windows update did something to alter it. How can this be changed back to come on instantly?

I don't think it is a big problem apart from a delay in startup. As I don't use XP I can't replicate it so I can only suggest you pick out articles from this list and see if there is a solution.

Thanks northumbria61. I had Daemonlite tools installed, and removing it solved the problem.
