XP licence key, lost, anyone know?

I have a systems builder copy of XP Home Edition which is for the desktop I've built, I have the disc and I've lost the licence key part. Now I have the disc in my laptop and I'm trying to locate the key on the disc, but I can't think how to do it?

If you mean can you lift a key from a CD then the answer is no, you could contact MS and they may supply a new key.

If you mean you have the OS installed on your laptop, and want to install it to a desktop then

and run this on the laptop.

cheers, I was really hoping I could lift the key from the CD, but yea, I'll need to contact MS and pay for the new licence, thanks though.

Have you got Windows installed at the moment?
If so, use "Magical Jelly Bean" from click here to get your serial

*If you mean can you lift a key from a CD then the answer is no*

And the reason is that it isn't on the CD, just in case you were wondering; all the CDs are identical (within a given issue), as they're just stamped in a press, not individually written.
