Hi everyone,

I had some problems trying to install XP on my pc so decided to link up the hard drive to my laptop and try the installation (via USB).
Part way through this I realised that its tring to install to the laptop disk so I cancelled the installation.

Now when I boot the laptop I get the following:

Hal.dll missing then
Select XP Pro or
XP pro setup

How do I tel my laptop that I don't want to go through the XP installation and how do I get rid of the messages?

Thanks

it'll be the boot.ini file that's altered because of the uncomplete attempt at install XP
have a read of these and see if they help
