XP installation problems

I decided to re-install XP. I booted using my setup disk and completely reformatted my hard drive, removing all partitions. The installation seems to go ok until it got to the stage where it reboots... I then get the report "Error loading operating system". I have tried with Win2K aswell with the same results. What could have happened?

Any help GREATLY appreciated!

Use XP CD to reformat HDD to NTFS and re -install op system.

Thats what I did. Sorry I didn't make it clear but thats what I meant by setup disk - the XP disk. I reformated, deleting all partitions first, to NTFS
