xp home to pro says missing file

i tried to put xp pro on my comp twice now and it says missing file the file is SISAGP.SYS

so no luck yet can anyone help?? drivin me mad

is the mobou are using has an onboard video using the SIS chipset? If it does, the file can be found on the driver disc supplied with the motherboard. once xp ask for the missing file, load the disk and then browse and search for it if xp could not locate it. I had a similar problem as you. I had a mobo with a onboard graphics chip using the SIS chipset. the chipset was an SIS 651. hope this sort out ur problem.
