xp home / lost "copy to cd" option

i have been trying different software for copying to cd. nero, roxio etc. i have now lost the default win xp option that used to come up with the other options when a file was hilighted, ie delete, move to etc.
any pointers please......

The native XP CD-writing software probably got disabled when you installed or tried out the others. You should be able to enable it by going into My Computer, right-clicking on your drive and selecting Properties. Select the Recording tab and tick Enable CD recording on this drive.

That should bring it back.

many thanks for that. i cant try it until i get home tonight. will post confirmation then.
i think that was a case of ask first look later. having got your suggestion if i'd only sat down at home and explored a little i probably would have found it, but this site is sooooo good.
