XP Home Installation

I am about to upgrade to a clean install of xphome, i have looked for all updated drivers but I can not find any for my motherboard. It is a Gigabyte GA7IXE. Are the original drivers on the motherboard disk xp compatible, and if not where's the best place to get new ones from.

Also will xp use generic drivers for my sound card (Creative SoundBlaster PLatinum 5.1 with LiveDrive IR) until I can get the new updated ones of a cd, or do I need to burn them onto a cd instead?

Xp should have all the drivers for the motherboard.

Generic drivers yes for the sooundcard. Then just update via the CD.
