XP Home Edition Backup

I understand that that XP Home Edition has a back up facility that must be accessed from the disk .... How can i access it

Put your XP disc in and click exit. Go to Start /Run and type valueadd\msft\ntbackup. then double click ntbackup

The reason you have to install it yourself is because Home, unlike XP Pro, doesn't install Backup by default.

But to backup to a CD-R you'll have to create a folder, drag the files you wish to backup to it and then burn the folder's contents to disk.
