I have just had to purchase XP Home as my system was absolutley full of "Viruses"
Would I be better to reformat and load or will it be okay to just load on top?
Any advise welcome

A clean install will be, by far, the best option.

PS Then get a good AV program; Avast Free updates itself automatically when you are on the net.
