I know the way windows XP automatically hides rarely used start menu items is supposed to be helpful, but is there any way to turn it off so I can see all the items in the start menu without having to click on the two little arrows at the bottom? Cheers ppl

Right click on the programs you want to stay on the start menu, and choose *Pin to start menu*. They will then move to the upper part of the menu, and stay there until you decide to remove them. J.

Or evn better IMHO - right click on the Start button, choose Properties, and switch to Classic View.

Why don't you go to control panel, taskbar and start menu then click on start menu then customise. In the box you will see all the start menu items. Highlight each one and you will get a sub menu, choose always show.

Oops. Click on customise in the taskbar tab
then you will get the menu. change them to always show.
