xp freezes on first logon

Hi

I've just installed XP Pro (used to have Me, formatted to NTFS) and ive put the 4 members of my family on as users, each with their own account. This is the problem: the first time the computer boots it goes to the welcome screen with the 4 user account options, and when 1 is pressed, xp logs on, then pauses, freezes infact, for about 45 seconds to a minute, before carrying on setting up. Is very irratating, but it only happens the first time. After that, its perfect. CPU occupancy during this freeze is 0-1%, so whats it doing, and why?!

Thanks

Tom
