XP Firewall has disappeared

Since installing AVG7, XP Firewall has disappeared.
In Network connections the ISP is shown as firewalled, but I can't find the firewall anywhere in the system. Computer belongs to an elderly friend who could not cope with some of the other firewalls - anything that pops up terrifies him.

So, please, can anyone suggest how to restore XP Firewall to his system?

Start/Control panel/Security centrer [This is a new Icon placed there by SP2] click on there then on Firewall and you can enable or disable from there.

If its enabled it will show as green, if not, as red.

Thanks, DJohn; but he hasn't got SP2 (put it on then deleted because his system hadn't enough memory). But surely there was a firewall with Win XP? Where is it?

Netwwork connections - right click on the connection - properties - advanced ---tick/untick the box

I think you have to right click the connections icon in task bar and untick the firewall option there,not sure tho.
