XP explorer

I am getting to grips with XP ( I think ) but need some assist on a small prob.

I have created a shortcut to my c:\ drive but would like it to open with the folders view. each time I start it folders view has to be enabled.

I would also like it to start in the root of C:\ but it seems to default to my documents.

Any ideas ? - or have I missed a simple setting on my PC ?

right click on your explorer shortcut on the desktop and select properties

in the box called target, edit the contents to show the following

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, /n,

this has always worked for me
