XP CONTINUALLY REBOOTING AT STARTUP

Hi. I run windows xp usually with no problems. However, now when I try to start the computer, it just reboots and reboots.
I can't run windows in safe mode and if I run from a dos prompt, I can't select the c drive but can select other drives.
Anybody any ideas about what's happened or how to fix it?

The only thing I can think of is to boot up from the CD and select the repair option.

Sounds like you have been infected with the "Blaster" virus, you need the virus removal tool from Symantec and also remember to "Patch" your pc to stop it happening again. Also check for "Welch" or "Natchi" virus as well. There is good information on the Symantec web site about this and how to resolve it, hope this helps ! Good Luck !
