  jonmaine 21:05 16 Jan 04

I installed xp on this laptop and managed to instal it alongside ME which most of if not all was overwritten. I then realised I had loads of software which was not accessable on the machine too. I decided to format. I did this from the xp cd startup/ recovery simply formatting c:.
So far so good, but how do I now make it run the xp cd for a clean install. A drive is functional, D drive will light up and the cd will seem to read fro a while but nothing happens. What is my best route please?

I'm a little confused (not unusual) but I think you need to set the BIOS to boot from CD first. On my laptop (Sony Vaio) I press 'Esc' to access the BIOS but it may be different on other versions.
