XP Boot INI.File

Has anyone any idea how to restore my Boot INI File for XP. For some unknown reason, it has vanished, and the folder is empty.

My system now boots from C:\ but I am having quite a few "Hanging problems" that I am certain are connected with this loss of the Boot Ini.

You would get an error message if the boot.ini file was missing. Have you looked in system, advanced, startup and recov, edit?

Type bootcfg into a command prompt, start, run, cmd....
