XP Auto-disconnect

I have just upgraded to XP Home Edition from Win98. With Win98, when you closed Internet Explorer, you got a pop-up window asking if you wanted to disconnect from the internet. This does not happen with XP and I keep forgetting to manually disconnect. Does anybody know a way of making XP do the same as Win98?
