I have recently installed XP Professional and am currently learning all about this latest Windows OS
However I am unable to securely install the modem
The modem is USR 56K Faxmodem EXT
and I have the latest drivers from USR support
in the form of a zip file (version6.11)
The installation process insists that this drivers is not digitally signed (by Microsoft)
and although I can force the system to load it
it is disables when I shut down
It would seem that the latest drivers for this modem are not up to date or that Microsoft have not cleared their usage
Can anyone suggest a fix for this please
Many thanks in advance

Try giong Start/Control Panel/Performance and Maintinance/System/Harware choose Driver Signing and make sure Warn is ticked.
