xp 2500 processor prob.

Have just fitted a new AMD xp2500 (barton core) processor.
It is on an Abit NV7 m/board with 512mb of ddr 2700 ram.
I have updated and installed the latest bios.
Problem is, in post it shows the proc as a 2500 ok,but in bios it shows as a 1826m proc 166 fsb x 11=1826.
Also in system info it also shows it as a 1826 proc.
Am running on Xp pro Op/System.
Is it me or does anyone know how the fsb and multiplier's should be set up to get the correct info.
Have tried raising the multiplier to 15 but the comp refused to boot up.

Any help gratefully recieved.

Sorry its me being a prat.
You are 100% correct,I tend to forget the number is not the real proc speed.
Thanks very much, and i feel like a right dickhead.
