Xoftspy Does anyone know anything about this.

My son has been having some problems with spyware, I gave him the usual free ones, but he keeps asking about this one which you have to buy to remove spyware. You know what son's are, they think their fathers live in the stone age. Can anyone help me satisfy his curiosity.

Rule of thumb, steer clear of spyware removers you see in the ads section of Google. (And a lot of others, come to that.)

rawprawn I purchased Xoftspy when I had multiple problems but imho it's money wasted.

As the subscription is still valid I run it before I run Ad-Aware - it finds nothing, compared to about six items by Ad-Aware.

It's only plus point is that it's got a nice user interface :-(
