Xerox Phaser 8560 Warning!

In November I purchased one of these printers for four hundred and something pounds. I have yet to get a decent quality glossy-paper photo print from it. Far from the claimed photo-quality prints I can't even get a decent printer quality print.

Every time you turn the blessed thing on it wastes a solid page of ink with it's test print. These tests cost me more than the actual printing I do.

Xerox won't reply to my queries - well, they have my money so who cares... It took them 4 months to get the "free ink" offer to me. And 12 little pellets of ink cost a whopping £180+.

Any suggestions as to how I get a decent print? and to anyone contemplating buying this machine, DON'T. It gets no stars from me.
