I've just got an Xbox360 and I've attached a wired ethernet bridge to it - which won't get an IP address from the router, a Netgear DG834G. DHCP is enabled - what am I missing?

It's actually very easy to do this...probably Vista on yer mind eh?

*grumps at Powerless* ;-)

It won't do it! I've plugged in an ethernet bridge, which the router sees and actually seems to have assigned it an IP but the Xbox won't play with it.

ethernet bridge?

Is that your way of saying that the Xbox plugs directly into the router or your way of saying there is something in between the router and the xbox?

I've got one of these click here

Can you try and give it a static?

Would I do that via the router's set-up page or the Xbox's set-up?
