i'm considering buying a xbox 360. at present, i don't have enough room for a TV so i was thinking about connecting the xbox to my computer monitor.

i've read that it won't work for all computer monitors, how do i find out if it will work with mine?

i've got a gnr 19" flatscreen that support resolutions up to and including 1280x1024

You can buy a cable from game that connects the xbox to a pc monitor if your monitor can manage any of these itl work

640x480
848x480
1024x768
1280x720
1280x768
1280x1024
1360x768

Your monitor needs an HDMI socket. Or if its DVI, you need a DVI to HDMI adaptor. I don't think analogue monitors work with the 360.

im pretty sure a regular monitor will work with your xbox. But instead of cashing out on the official Microsoft VGA cable, i would suggest buying one of these.

With this you can simply plug the male VGA cable from your monitor and it shouold work.
