Plese Help,

I just recently had to reinstall Windows XP on my pc Pentium 4. Before this, I never had any problems with my printer. Now it now takes 2-10 minutes before printing starts. I've tried reinstalling but nothing works. Test pages will print immediately but nothing else. If anyone can tell me how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it.

Have you installed up to date software/drivers or are you relying on the XP default drivers? If the latter, then I suggest you visit the Lexmark website and download their drivers etc. This may not cure the problem but there is a very good chance that Lexmark's drivers will be better than the Windows ones.

You could also have a look at this:-
Go to Start/ Settings/ Printers.
Double click your printer listed.
Printer tab/ Properties.
Details tab/ Spool Settings.
Click the buttons for
a. Spool Print Jobs,
b. Start printing after first page is spooled, and
c. Enable bi-directional support.
Also try a different Spool Data Format, you can always change it back to what it was if no improvement.
Best of Luck.
