I've built a custom pc using an AMD Athlon XP2000. This should be running at 1.67Ghz, however, when I right click on My Computer it shows it as being only 1.25Ghz. If anyone could tell me why this is and how to fix it I would be very greatful. Thanks

You need to set correct FSB (front side bus ) speed and or multiplier in the BIOS

To add to Fruit Bat /\0/\ comments, your mobo manual should tell you what multiplier to use. Don't go above this unless your well into over-clocking.

If you're still not sure, and I have to admit that it can be complex, let us know what motherboard you've got and we may be able to give you chapter and verse.
