Hi,
Can anyone explain to me why I sometimes get square boxes instead of apostrophes when reading web pages or html email. I get square boxes when reading the PCAdvisor site.
thanks

Internet Explorer? Tools, Internet Options. It'll be a tick in there, probably. Don't use IE myself so not sure which one! Try Restore defaults.

Thanks for quick reply. I wasn't sure if encoding was the cause of the problem but you prompted me to check again. In IE the possible options are under the View menu. There is no default but there is a Autoselect which seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks
