WPA-PSK Wireless Printer

Hi A friend has asked me to help set up their printer wirelessly. It has asked for the WPA-PSK Key, i have gone into the netgear browser and seen the password **. That is 8 characters, i assumed it would therefore be their log on which is also 8 characters. However this did not match upper or lower case.

  1. might it be longer than 8 characters? is this just a mask...
  2. Can i identify the key if it is not known?
  3. Do i just reset the key? - if so, how do i do this?

Thanks kindly

If it is an ISP supplied router the passkey will be on the bottom of the router.
