My AVG detected this little fella, last week. I ran a complete test and had it neutralised. I also downloaded the Microsoft patch for the virus. However every now and again I get a pop up window telling me the same virus has been identified and advises me to run AVG. No virus is identified when I run a check. Getting bored of this. Can't find it in a file - even though the pop-up tells me where it is (it's in 'system volume information\-restore.....').
Any help on sorting this would be much appreciated.

Turn off System Restore and then run whatever you used to fix it again. Until you do this it will keep coming back.

Yes you need to disable your system restore, you will loose all your restore points, as it has been backed up in restore, then run AVG again and re enable system restore.
