What do you mean by "when Microsoft Works is withdrawn"? If you have the installation disk for Works, there is nothing to stop you from installing and continuing to use it.

My Windows 7 Netbook included an "advert sponsored" version of Works, which I've removed and replaced with my existing copy of Works 7.

Of course you are correct that I can continue to use my copy of Works. I am being pessimistic that it will eventually refuse to work with future operating systems. Hence, it would be nice to know of an alternative.

Is it possible to export your Works DB file to Excel (assuming you have it. If not get the Open Office spreadsheet). If it is a really simple flat DB then a good SS might manage it.
