Working hours Excel

If Fred starts work at 6:30 and finishes at 15:30 what formula in excel do I use to show how many hours he has worked in this time period please?
I have office 2007.

With 06:30 in A1 and 15:30 in B1 use


and format the result cell as Time.

If you want the result as decimal time then


and format the result cell as Number.
