Is there an easy way to convert word documents to pdf format?

You need a pdf writer. The one I use is Jaws click here

It costs but not nearly as much as the Adobe writer and is almost as versatile and easy to use.

There are free ones but I've not had much luck with them.

is if you have some PDF creation software. The new version of Word (out soon) will have built-in PDF creation capabilities, but until you upgrade you'll need to obtain some software. The industry standard (and best) application is of course Adobe Acrobat, but that will set you back $299 for the standard version and unless you are going to be doing a great deal of work with PDFs it just isn't worth forking out that much.

For a lot less (£50) you can buy a superb PDF application called 'Jaws' which does exactly what you want it to do and does it brilliantly.

Take a look

Jaws is what I've been looking for.
