Word formats

I use Word 2003.
I want to email a document to many people, have them edit it and then send it back.
I want to ensure that people with later Word versions will be able to open and edit and, of course, that I can open what they send back.
Is the standard .doc format OK or what?
One person will add a translation into Greek, another into French and another into German.

Word 2007 is fine with doc format. They just have to remember not to save it in the docx format to send back to you. Although that is not insurmountable.

use the .rft format, and have everyone save in that.

Even those without "Word" should be able to cope with that.

Simsy
