Word file

Hi All,
Can you help? I was given a floppy disc from a friend so that I could print out his CV for him. It was supposedly done in word, but all I get his hyroglyphics squares y's and mummble jumble. I have tried changing the format but no success, It states it is a WPS file if that helps.
Thank You

It's a Microsoft Works file if that helps

Ask your friend to re-save the file in rich text format (*.rtf) or Word 6.0 format. Then you will be able to open it in word with (hopefully) minimal loss of formatting.
