Word 2007 to Word Perfect

How can I save a document using Word 2007 so that it can be opened, read and edited with Word Perfect on another computer. Help please.

depending on version of word perfect try saving as doc file extension.

As The Raven said, rather than saving in the default Docx format, select doc, this saves the file in the same format as Word 2000, XP and 2003. So you should be able to open the file in most recent versions of Word Perfect.

Save it as an .rtf (Rich Text Format) file.

This can then be read by any Wordprocessor. Even Notepad and Wordpad should be able to read it.

Thanks to everyone. I sent three tests to my sister in law who has Word Perfect. I saved them in different formats, including RTF and I'll let you know if one of the three worked and if she could open, read and edit what I sent her in that format.
