I have Word 2007 but I do not seem able to email from it.I go to send but the email button is blank

open the document which u need to send.
The send button should be at the top of the main screen on the quick access bar - well that's where mine is. U can configure the quick access bar and add email facility if it's not there.

What is your normal default email prog?
You can only 'Send To Email' from Word 2007 if you use Outlook 2007 or Outlook Express 6 as your email program
the email will be greyed out if you use something else.

As lotvic states, you need Outlook or Outlook Express configured to use the e-mail option in Office.

Thanks

I checked, it's outlook Expres 6.I only just put Word 2007 in.Does it require me to configure Ourlook Express in any way?

  lotvic 14:20 18 Jun 09

open Outlook Express, choose Tools, then Options, then General. At the bottom of this window, click "Make Default" where it says "This application is the default Mail handler." If this button is greyed out, it means OE is already your default mail program.

Installing Microsoft Office or installing updates or patches for Microsoft Office, always changes your default mail program to Microsoft Outlook so if you want to continue to use Outlook Express you have to again make it your default.

Thanks,Lotvic. It was greyed out so I could not alter anythin

I Googled to find an answer and it seems that Office is configured to Outlook and to use Outlook Express you must modify the registry and as I am not experienced enough to do that, guess I'll have to do wihout.
Thanks for help
