WORD 2003 start up

Whenever I start Word 2003 Professional a window opens asking me to accept / decline the user agreement.

How can I stop this?

It also usually opens up with the task pane - I'd like to disable this as well.

Hi novis

With regard to the task pane, go to View - Toolbars and untick TaskPane.

As for the user agreement window, I would have assumed you needed to accept the user agreement before using the program. In which case, you need to tick 'Accept'

Hope this helps Cheers

Not quite ...

The End User Agreement has an ACCEPT button - but still comes up every time Word opens

Task Pane isn't ticked when I go to VIEW

For your next suggestion ... ?

Find the executables in Windows Explorer for each program in Office e.g. winword.exe, excel.exe etc. Right click on each one and select 'Run as Administrator' and click to accept the user agreement. The message should stop appearing.

To stop Task Pane appearing it looks like you'll have to go to Solution 2 on this link
